Over 75% in 15-18 age group administered first dose of Covid vaccine

On 9th March, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Chemicals and Fertilizers Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted that over 75% of persons in the 15 to 18 age bracket have got their first dose of Covid vaccination. India has provided a total of 5,55,80,872 first-dose Covid vaccinations and 3,20,34,392 second-dose Covid vaccines to this age range.
The country's Covid inoculation coverage has reached 179.33 crore, with over 18.69 million vaccine doses administered in the previous 24 hours. Furthermore, the country saw a slight increase in new Covid infections on Wednesday, with 4,575 cases reported compared to 3,993 the day before. The number of active Covid cases has dropped to 46,962, accounting for 0.11% of the country's total cases.
