Passenger vehicle wholesales rose by 13.54 % in May at 334,247 units: SIAM

In May, domestic passenger vehicle (PV) wholesale sales reached 334,247 units, registering a 13.54% rise over the same month last year, according to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). As per the most recent SIAM data, manufacturers delivered dealers 294,392 PV units in May 2022.

As compared to May of the prior year, when it was 1,253,187 units, the wholesale of domestic two-wheelers in May increased by 17.42% to 1,471,550 units. Furthermore, three-wheeler wholesales were also higher at 48,732 units, as compared to 28,595 units in May 2022.

It was also reported that the total vehicle dispatches across categories were 1,808,686 units, as against 1,532,861 units in May 2022.
