Leading digital payments platform PhonePe announced that NITI Aayog, in collaboration with the platform, will organize the first-ever open-to-all hackathon aimed at showcasing path-breaking fintech concepts. The Hackathon will give innovators, digital producers, and developers from throughout India the chance to think, ideate, and code.
Participants in the hackathon must use open-data APIs like PhonePe Pulse, as well as frameworks like Account Aggregator, as a foundation to power use cases like alternate risk models for lending, insurance, or investments with a focus on financial inclusion; innovative products that use power data signals for various demographics and geos for broader adoption of financial services; and improved visualisation and derived intelligence based on the digital paternity. Teams can contain as few as one person or as many as five. They can supplement their contribution with data from PhonePe Pulse, the Open Government Data Platform, and RBI payment records.
