While inaugurating Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi called on Indians to make three resolutions for the country: ‘Swachhta’ (cleanliness), Srijan (creation) and continuous efforts for Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). He added that Swachhta is a lifestyle and discipline and stated that India’s progress will be difficult without Indians uniting to achieve Swachhta. He further stated that new India is regaining its past glory and showcasing the world that nothing is impossible when 1.3 billion people unite.
He termed the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham as a ‘decisive decision’ to India’s brighter future and stated that it shows the 'Seva' (service) and 'Kartavya' (duty) of Indians who need to have the determination to achieve anything. Before the inauguration, he greeted the workers involved in the construction of the project with flowers, offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and planted a Rudraksha tree on the premises of the temple.
