PM Modi to visit Germany, UAE from June 26-28 to attend G7 Summit: MEA

On June 26 and 27, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will go to the Alpine castle of Schloss Elmau in southern Germany to take part in the G7 Summit, according to the Ministry of External Affairs. This year's summit is likely to focus on important global issues like the Ukraine crisis and the situation in the Indo-Pacific.

On June 28, Mr. Modi will depart from Germany and fly to the UAE to express his condolences for the loss of Mr. Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the country's former leader.

Mr. Modi is attending the G7 summit following an invitation by German Chancellor Mr. Olaf Scholz.

The G7, an association of the seven richest countries in the world, is currently chaired by Germany. The US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the UK are included.
