At the Rani Kamalapati Station in Bhopal, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi flagged off five new and upgraded Vande Bharat Express trains on June 27, 2023, marking a historic day for Indian Railways.
Five new Vande Bharat Express trains are operating between Rani Kamalapati and Jabalpur, Rani Kamalapati and Indore, Goa (Madgaon) and Mumbai, Ranchi and Patna, and Dharwad and Bengaluru, ushering in a new era of comfortable and enhanced rail travel experiences. These Vande Bharat trains, which were inaugurated, would boost travel comfort, cut down on travel time, and promote connectivity between state capitals and other cities. These Vande Bharat trains are reaching every part of our country with the message of a New India-Viksit Bharat.
The operation of the Vande Bharat train would improve connectivity between Bhopal, the state capital of Madhya Pradesh, and Jabalpur, the cultural centre of the state, as well as between both cities and neighbouring tourist attractions and religious sites. The commencement of the Vande Bharat train between Rani Kamalapati and Indore will make it easier and faster to travel, and it will also serve as a vital link between the regions' cultural, tourist, and pilgrimage hotspots. In Karnataka, Dharwad - Bengaluru Vande Bharat train will connect Vidya Kashi Dharwad, Vanijya Nagari, Hubballi, and Bengaluru. This Vande Bharat train will connect North Karnataka to South Karnataka.
Vande Bharat Express trains offer a wide range of amenities that will give passengers a world-class, comfortable travelling experience as well as advanced, modern safety measures including KAVACH technology. Each train is equipped with bogies with fully suspended traction motors for an operational speed of 160 kmph. The advanced suspension technology guarantees a safe and comfortable ride as well as increased passenger comfort.
