Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi dedicated and laid the cornerstones for development projects worth more than US$ 2.94 billion (Rs. 24,300 crore) in the Bikaner area of Rajasthan.
Mr. Narendra Modi dedicated a six-lane greenfield motorway part of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor, the first phase of the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor, a Bikaner-to-Bhiwadi transmission line and a 30-bed Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital to the people.
He also set the groundwork for reconstructing the Bikaner railway station and doubling the 43-kilometer-long Churu-Ratangarh segment.
The prime minister launched the projects with a remote control during a ceremony at Norangdesar, Bikaner.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State for Law and Parliament Affairs Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal were all present on the occasion.
