Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi addresses the NXT Summit

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi addressed the NXT Summit organised by the iTV Network, while he explained the development path India has taken and the national goal to create a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). The address drew a historical parallel between the Dandi March of 1930 and the country’s present journey towards economic transformation, describing the vision of a developed India as a collective aspiration of 140 crore citizens. Despite global conflicts, supply chain disruptions, and economic uncertainty, global leaders and industry experts remain optimistic about India’s growth trajectory. The results of India’s economic growth, together with the rising power of the Global South in world affairs, serve as primary indicators of India’s increasing international standing. The address also showed how India has gained global recognition because of its role as an essential partner that helps solve new economic and geopolitical problems. 

The address presented evidence showing India is moving to the next phase of economic development through its implementation of extensive reforms, its development of digital systems, and its adoption of new technologies. India established its leadership position in digital payments through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) while Jan Dhan accounts helped bring more than 50 crore citizens into the formal banking system. India maintains its technological leadership position through continued funding of cutting-edge research in semiconductor technology, quantum computing, and space exploration missions. Global instability requires countries to focus on strengthening their energy security and supply chain protection efforts, which need to involve developing renewable energy sources and ethanol fuel, and major infrastructure projects. The government initiatives demonstrate a comprehensive plan that aims to achieve economic stability through technological progress and self-sufficiency to support India's goal of becoming a developed country with global economic competitiveness.
