Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced the establishment of a 'Startup Bridge' between India and Italy

The establishment of a ‘Startup Bridge’ between India and Italy was announced by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. He also stated that both nations have placed a high priority on enhancing their bilateral cooperation in fields like renewable energy, green hydrogen, information technology, semiconductors, telecom, and space.

In addition, Mr. Narendra Modi noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of India and Italy's diplomatic relations, adding, "we have chosen to give the status of strategic partnership to India-Italy partnership" on this occasion. He added that the ’Make in India’ and ‘Self-Reliant India’ campaigns are opening up a lot of opportunities in India.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister remarked that with this establishment, both countries can showcase their diversity, history, science and technology, innovation, sports, and achievements on the global stage. He also welcomed Italy's active participation in the Indo-Pacific, saying the move will help in identifying concrete themes for enhancing the cooperation in Indo-Pacific.

Italian Prime Minister Ms. Giorgia Meloni also spoke on bilateral engagement between the two countries in areas of defence and security, economy, and technology.
