The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi urged India Inc to increase investment and take advantage of the opportunities unveiled in the Budget 2023-24. While addressing the 10th webinar on Budget, he said that the government has increased outlay on capital expenditure to US$ 120 billion (Rs. 10 lakh crores), which is the highest ever.
Along with India Inc., he also asked the private sector of the country to increase their investment.
The Prime Minister added that the goods and services tax (GST), lower income and corporate taxes, and other tax reforms have greatly reduced India's tax burden compared to the past.
He added that RuPay and UPI are more than just low-cost, extremely secure technologies, they also serve as the country’s global identities. To broaden their reach, Mr. Narendra Modi recommended that financial institutions collaborate as much as possible with FinTech.
