Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi dedicates the world's longest railway platform in Hubballi to the nation

At the Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi dedicated the "longest railway platform in the world" to the country. The Guinness Book of World Records has recognised the platform's 1,507 meter (m) length as the record, which was constructed at a cost of roughly US$ 2.4 million (Rs 20 crore). To improve connectivity in the area, he also dedicated the electrification of the Hosapete Hubballi Tinaighat section and the upgrading of the Hosapete station. The electrification project, developed at a cost of approximately US$ 64.77 million (Rs 530 crore), ensures continuous train running on electric traction. Travellers can take advantage of handy and up-to-date amenities at the renovated Hosapete station. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the groundwork for several Hubballi-Dharwad smart city projects. These initiatives are expected to cost a total of roughly US$ 63.55 million (Rs 520 crore).

He also lay the groundwork for the Jayadeva Hospital and Research Centre, which will cost around US$ 30.55 million (Rs. 250 crores) and will provide tertiary cardiac treatment to the residents of the region, as well as the Dharwad Multi Village Water Supply Project, which would cost more than US$ 127.11 million (Rs. 1,040 crores). Moreover, he lay the cornerstone for the approximately US$ 17.11 million (Rs 150 crore) Tupparihalla Flood Damage Control Project. The project entails building retaining walls and embankments to reduce damage brought on by floods.
