Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi praised the Indian diaspora in France for its contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between India and France during his visit to Paris. Upon arriving in the French capital after attending the G7 Summit, the Prime Minister received a warm welcome from members of the Indian community and expressed pride in their efforts to bring the two countries closer together. During the visit, participation in VivaTech 2026, one of Europe’s largest technology and innovation events, is expected to highlight India's rapidly growing digital economy, vibrant startup ecosystem and advancements in emerging technologies. India and France have steadily expanded cooperation across sectors such as defence, maritime security, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, innovation and advanced manufacturing. Recent initiatives, including the India-France Innovation Roadmap 2030 and collaborations in research, technology and skilling, have further strengthened the strategic partnership between the two countries. The visit highlights the growing importance of people-to-people ties and innovation-led cooperation in the India-France partnership.
