Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi hails the historic milestone of the destruction of 1,44,000 kgs of seized drugs

The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, has hailed India for reaching a historic milestone in drug eradication by destroying 1,44,000 kgs of seized drugs.

In a tweet, Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah stated that with this accomplishment, India has set an incredible record of eliminating 1 million kgs of drugs worth US$ 1.46 billion (Rs.12,000 crore) in just one year.

The incredible feat was accomplished at the Regional Conference on Drug Trafficking and National Security. This demonstrates the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)'s staunch and unwavering pursuit of the PM's objective of a drug-free India.

The prime minister tweeted: "Great! Adds strength to our efforts to make India free from the drug menace."
