Further noted that the middle class has played a significant role in nation-building and emphasised that fulfilling its aspirations remains an important objective of governance. According to the Prime Minister, policy initiatives have increasingly focused on improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens through better access to opportunities, enhanced infrastructure and more efficient public services. Sustained investments in roads, railways, digital infrastructure, housing and urban development have helped improve connectivity and living standards, while reforms across sectors have sought to create a more enabling environment for economic and social progress.
The Prime Minister further stated that Government initiatives have aimed at reducing everyday burdens and expanding access to affordable healthcare, quality education and cleaner urban environments. Efforts to strengthen public service delivery, promote digital governance and improve civic infrastructure have contributed to greater convenience and accessibility for citizens. He emphasised that enhancing the ease of living remains central to the broader vision of inclusive development and economic growth. The focus on improving public infrastructure, expanding social welfare initiatives and creating opportunities for upward mobility is expected to support the aspirations of the middle class while contributing to India’s long-term development objectives.
