Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurates the 'Utkarsh Odisha' - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 and Make in Odisha Exhibition in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on January 27, 2025. During his address, he noted that this was his second visit to the state in January, following his participation in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025 event. Highlighting that the 2025 Conclave was the largest business summit in Odisha's history, with five to six times more investor participation than before, he praised the Odisha government for organising such a grand event. He recognised Eastern India’s significant role in India’s growth, particularly Odisha’s contribution, which has historically been central to Southeast Asian trade and ports. He noted that ASEAN countries were eager to strengthen ties with Odisha, presenting immense opportunities for the state. 

He stressed that India is on the path to becoming the world's third-largest economy, with a focus on a green future powered by renewable energy such as solar, wind, and green hydrogen. He emphasised Odisha’s potential and highlighted various investments in the state's petrochemical and green energy sectors. Furthermore, he lauded the development of critical infrastructure, including dedicated freight corridors and industrial parks, which will enhance Odisha's position in the blue economy. He urged investors to capitalise on Odisha's growing prospects, noting the state's thriving industries such as food process, IT, EdTech, and textiles. He concluded by expressing confidence in the state's potential to achieve new heights in development and prosperity, supported by the ongoing efforts of the Odisha government.
