Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi lauds India's progress in electronics exports

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi expressed great satisfaction over India's significant progress in electronics exports, which have now reached a top-three global position. He attributed this achievement to the innovative youth of India, or "Yuva Shakti." He emphasized the country's commitment to maintaining this positive trajectory. The Prime Minister highlighted the role of reforms and the ‘Make in India’ initiative in fostering growth in the electronics sector.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced on social media that India's electronics exports have surpassed gems and jewellery to become the third-largest export category by the end of the first quarter of FY25. This growth has been driven by a notable increase in Apple iPhone exports from India. The Prime Minister responded to Mr. Vaishnaw's announcement, underscoring the importance of continuing this momentum and recognizing the success as a result of strategic economic policies and initiatives.
