Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi launched the 'Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth' initiative via video conferencing, addressing Vice Chancellors, Heads of Institutes, and faculty members at workshops organised at Raj Bhavan nationwide. Expressing gratitude to the Governors for their role in organising the workshops, the Prime Minister emphasised the pivotal role of educational institutions in the holistic development of individuals and the nation. He highlighted the ongoing period as an opportune time in India's history for a quantum leap in development, urging educators to focus on strategies for achieving a developed India by 2047. Emphasising the need to harness the energy of students and youth toward the common goal of 'Viksit Bharat,' PM Modi called for initiatives that go beyond individual university streams to build a unified and developed nation.
The Prime Minister introduced the Ideas Portal for Viksit Bharat, encouraging suggestions on various themes, and stressed the importance of creating an 'Amrit generation' dedicated to national interests and civic responsibility. He urged educators to serve as role models, fostering social thinking and suggesting ways to enhance initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Drawing an analogy to an examination, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi declared the next 25 years to be a decisive period for India's youth, emphasising their role in shaping the future of families and society. He highlighted the government's commitment to connecting every youth with the action plan for a developed India, seeking their active participation. PM Modi concluded by emphasising the collective effort of 'Sabka Prayas' in building a developed India and urged scholars to contribute their suggestions to enrich the vision of Viksit Bharat.
