Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi lays foundation stone and dedicates to nation projects worth around Rs. 860 crores (US$ 104.20 million) in Jambughoda, Gujarat

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for projects worth around Rs. 860 crores (US$ 104.20 million) in Jambughoda, Panchmahal, Gujarat. The Prime Minister set the groundwork for hundreds of crores worth of projects for the entire region, with a focus on health, education, and skill development. The Prime Minister stated that the new administrative campus of Govind Guru University and Kendriya Vidyalaya will greatly benefit our tribal youngsters.

The Prime Minister also emphasised the double-engine government's ongoing efforts to help the underprivileged, oppressed, backward, and indigenous populations. The Prime Minister cited the free ration scheme, free covid vaccines, treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh (US$ 6,055) for the poor, assisting pregnant women to get nutritious food, and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, which allows small farmers to get loans for fertiliser, seeds, and electricity bills, among other things.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significant role that Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana has played in the overall development of tribal regions over the last decades, stating that more than Rs. 1 lakh crore (US$ 12.11 billion) has been invested under this scheme in tribal areas over the last 14-15 years. He also stated that the Gujarat government has agreed to spend an additional Rs. 1 lakh crore (US$ 12.11 billion) in the next years.
