Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi lays the foundation stone and dedicates to the nation multiple developmental projects worth over US$ 12.8 billion (Rs. 1.06 lakh crore) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated developmental projects worth over US$ 12.8 billion (Rs. 1,06,000 crore) at the Operation Control Centre of the Dedicated Freight Corridor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These projects span railway infrastructure, connectivity, and petrochemicals. Mr. Narendra Modi also flagged off 10 new Vande Bharat trains, emphasizing their role in enhancing the country's rail network. He highlighted the unprecedented scale of the event, involving participants from over 200 locations, and lauded the historical magnitude of the initiatives undertaken.

The commitment to transforming the railway sector was emphasized, with significant budget increases since 2014 and comprehensive modernization initiatives. Key projects include the Eastern and Western dedicated freight corridors, contributing to increased speed and efficiency in goods transportation. Efforts towards 100% electrification, cargo terminals, and the establishment of Gati Shakti University were highlighted. The Prime Minister reiterated the government's focus on making Indian Railways a catalyst for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local, fostering economic growth and promoting indigenous products. The dedication ceremony included the foundation stone laying of a Petrochemicals complex of Petronet LNG in Dahej, Gujarat, and the launch of various other projects to improve railway infrastructure and promote socio-economic development. He urged citizens to cooperate in realizing the vision of a modern and efficient railway network, ensuring progress and prosperity for the nation.
