Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi lays the foundation stone, inaugurates, and dedicates to the nation more than 2000 railway Infrastructure projects worth around US$ 4.9 billion (Rs. 41,000 crore).

In a virtual ceremony, Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth over US$ 4.9 billion (Rs. 41,000 crore). The Viksit Bharat Viksit Railways event, witnessed by participants across 500 railway stations and 1500 venues, symbolizes India's commitment to unprecedented speed and scale in its development endeavors. Commending recent infrastructure expansions in education and health sectors, the Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing redevelopment of 550 stations in 12 states and the significance of today's US$ 4.8 billion (Rs. 40,000 crore) projects, portraying India's rapid progress.

Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi extended special congratulations to the youth, the true beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat, foreseeing these projects creating employment opportunities and impacting education positively. He emphasized the transformative changes in railways over the last decade, showcasing advancements like high-speed trains, electrification, cleanliness initiatives, and upgraded facilities. Expressing commitment to propel India into the ranks of the world's top economic powers, he noted the substantial increase in the railway budget from US$ 5.4 billion (Rs. 45,000 crore) a decade ago to US$ 30.2 billion (Rs. 2.5 lakh crore) today.
