On Wednesday, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi met with his Italian counterpart Ms. Giorgia Meloni at the G20 Summit in the city, and the two leaders spoke about ways to strengthen their bilateral ties in a number of areas, including trade, energy, defense, and counterterrorism. Mr. Modi is in Bali for the two-day G20 conference, which began on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, he spoke informally with a number of world leaders outside the summit, including US President Mr. Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Mr. Rishi Sunak, French President Mr. Emmanuel Macron, and others.
