Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has returned to Delhi following his tour to the United States and Egypt, during which several historic accords were inked.
The BJP Chief Mr. J.P. Nadda and the Minister of State for external affairs Ms. Meenakashi Lekhi met the prime minister at the airport in Delhi.
On June 20, Prime Minister Modi left for the United States. On June 21, he led a historic gathering at the UN Headquarters in New York to honour the 9th International Yoga Day. Later, he was greeted on the red carpet at the White House by President Mr. Joe Biden in Washington, DC. During his visit, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi signed a number of significant agreements to boost cooperation in vital fields like commerce, space exploration, and military.
Following the conclusion of his high-profile state visit to the US, PM Mr. Modi arrived in Cairo. The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mr. Mostafa Madbouly, met him at the airport. President Mr. El-Sisi presented him with the "Order of the Nile" award, which is Egypt's highest state honour.
PM Mr. Modi met with President Mr. Sisi to discuss strengthening bilateral commerce and investment, energy connections, and people-to-people contacts. Following the meetings, the two countries elevated their ties to "Strategic Partnership."
