On Monday, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is scheduled to fly to Bali for the G20 Summit in Indonesia. The summit, whose theme is, "Recover Together, Recover Stronger," will bring together the heads of state and governments of 20 nations, accounting for about two-thirds of the world's population and representing about 85% of the global GDP.
At the G20 meeting in Indonesia, the Prime Minister will meet individually with world leaders and brief them on India's shifting G20 priorities. This G20 Summit is noteworthy because India will preside over the summit beginning on December 1, 2022, for a year. The handover of the presidency will occur at the Bali summit.
The G20 is the main forum for international economic cooperation, and it is crucial in establishing and enhancing global governance and the architecture of the world economy. Mr. Modi and other G20 leaders will spend much of the summit deliberating on important contemporary topics, such as the state of the world economy, energy, environment, agriculture, health, and digital transformation, among others.
