The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is organising the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo (BRESE) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from November 2 to 5, 2026. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event on November 2. Themed “Invest. Innovate. Inspire.”, the four-day summit is expected to bring together participants from over 130 countries. It will be held alongside the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH). Australia, Denmark, the European Union, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom will participate as country partners, while 13 Indian states will take part as Partner States.
Over 400 manufacturers, developers, technology providers, startups and research institutions will showcase emerging renewable energy technologies at the accompanying exhibition. Secretary of MNRE Mr. Santosh Sarangi stated that India, with 308 gigawatts (GW) of installed non-fossil fuel capacity, is firmly on course to reach its 500 GW target by 2030. Achieving this will require investments of approximately Rs. 20.84 lakh crore (US$ 220 billion) between 2027 and 2030. Accelerated deployment of energy storage, stronger transmission networks and expanded domestic manufacturing will also be needed. India ranks third globally in renewable energy and solar installed capacity and fourth in wind power capacity. The summit will feature high-level plenaries, ministerial discussions and CEO roundtables on financing, policy, technology and skilling. It will also host business-to-business, business-to-government and government-to-government engagements to facilitate investment opportunities and partnerships.
