Raksha Mantri exhorts youth to ideate, innovate & indigenise new technologies to achieve ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’

Minister of Defence, Mr. Rajnath Singh, has urged the country's youth to invent, create, and locally produce new technologies in order to fulfil Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's goal of 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat.' He said this on May 20, while addressing the students of Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth in Pune during their 13th Convocation Ceremony.

Mr. Singh regarded youth as a country's greatest power, catalyst, and source of change. In response to the Prime Minister's 'Vocal for Local' plea, he remarked that it will enhance employment opportunities for the country's youth.

According to Mr. Singh, the government's efforts have resulted in the creation of a robust start-up ecosystem in the country, which has led to the creation of over 100 unicorns in the country.

He emphasised that good education is an effective weapon for eradicating poverty and hunger. He said that it is the students' job to put their education to good use and effect positive change in society.
