Rupee shown more resilience than other currencies in recent years: Mr. Goyal

According to Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, the Indian rupee has exhibited greater resilience recently than the majority of other currencies, and the CAGR of depreciation is lower compared to pre-2014.

Exporters should stand on their own, believing in the quality of their goods and their capacity to meet the needs of customers in the international markets, rather than being dependent on the rupee's depreciation.

Given the size and scope of the US market, there are immense opportunities for Indian businesses to significantly develop their trade with the US in every industry, said Mr. Goyal

Mr. Goyal continued by stating that each FTA will assist India expand trade with all of its trading partners and will help India reduce its growing trade deficit.
