Rural India creates 4.3 million jobs in November, which resulted in a spur of employment rate from 37% in October to 37.5%, whereas urban India observed an increase from 34.2% to 34.4%, as per the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE).

The consumer sentiment index decreased by 0.2% in November, as urban confidence dropped by 1.5% and rural confidence increased by 0.5%. The November 2022 ICS decrease comes after two months of significant gains, after growing abruptly by 11.4% in the preceding two months, which were India's major festival months.

Consumer confidence consolidated in November as a result of expectations that the economy will do well in the short- and medium-term. This is especially true in India’s rural areas. In addition, the Index of Current Economic Conditions (ICC) dipped 1.6% in November, with a 3.1% drop in urban India, compared to a 1.6% drop in rural India.
