Using a multi-stage venture capital consortium led by GSV Ventures, Simplilearn, an online platform for skilling and training, has raised US$ 45 million. The fundraising round included participation from Clal Insurance and the venture platform DisruptAD.
More than 120,000 paid B2C students and more than 100,000 enterprise students have joined the firm in the last year. Additionally, Simplilearn's platform currently has more than 2 million free users.
“We continue to witness the accelerated need for digitally skilled workforce across industries and Simplilearn continues to be focused on bridging the digital skill gap”, said Mr. Krishna Kumar, founder and chief executive officer of Simplilearn.
According to Simplilearn, it has been making investments for expanding the business since receiving Blackstone's investment in August 2021.
