Startup India-DPIIT signs MoU with CarDekho Group to strengthen startup ecosystem in mobility, fintech and emerging tech sectors

Startup India, under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CarDekho Group to boost India’s startup ecosystem across mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technology sectors. The collaboration will accelerate the growth of DPIIT-recognised startups by offering strategic mentorship, market access, technology infrastructure, and funding opportunities. Startups will gain access to CarDekho’s diverse platforms, including InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED, enabling wider customer reach and collaboration.

The partnership will also host innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge to promote entrepreneurship in electric mobility, auto-tech, finance, and sustainability. Startups will benefit from CarDekho’s leadership network for domain-specific guidance and co-investment opportunities through the Girnar Vision Fund, alongside skill development initiatives to strengthen entrepreneurial and technical capabilities. Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Mr. Sanjiv Singh, said the collaboration will unlock solutions for mobility, finance, and sustainability. At the same time, Co-founder & CEO, CarDekho Group, Mr. Amit Jain, highlighted the company’s commitment to mentoring and funding emerging entrepreneurs. The MoU was signed by Director, DPIIT, Dr. Sumeet Jarangal, and Co-founder & CEO, CarDekho Group, Mr. Amit Jain, in the presence of senior officials.
