On the ninth anniversary of the 'Startup India' programme, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi hailed it as a transformative initiative that has positioned India among the largest and most dynamic startup ecosystems worldwide. Describing the programme as "very close to my heart," he emphasised its role in redefining innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth, particularly for empowering youth. He highlighted how the initiative has helped countless young innovators turn their ideas into successful startups over the past nine years.

He noted that a decade ago, there were doubts about India's ability to thrive in this environment. Today, Indian startups are tackling global challenges across various sectors, from tech and rural innovations to healthcare, biotech, fintech, edtech, clean energy, and sustainable technology. These efforts generate employment and contribute to India’s pursuit of self-reliance under the 'AtmaNirbhar Bharat' initiative. He assured that his government has continually focused on policies that ease business processes, provide better resource access, and support startups at every stage. Promoting innovation and incubation centres has also encouraged young people to take risks. The success of 'Startup India,' he concluded, reflects a dynamic, confident, and future-ready India.
