Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Mr. Piyush Goyal, emphasized the pivotal role of startups in shaping the new India, citing their ability to innovate across diverse sectors such as mobility, food, and textiles. Speaking at the curtain-raiser event for the upcoming three-day Startup Mahakumbh from March 18-20 at Bharat Mandapam, He urged startups not to miss the current opportunity, highlighting the sector's potential for global leadership. The event, organized by Assocham, Nasscom, Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation, TiE, and IVCA, is set to feature over a thousand high-potential startups, with participation from unicorn startups, venture capitalists, corporates, and industry leaders.

The Startup Mahakumbh aims to showcase India's success stories over the last decade and position the country as a global leader. It will host over a thousand startups, investors, and over five hundred incubators. The newly unveiled Bharat Startup Ecosystem Registry, a unified database for startups, seeks to foster seamless coordination and networking opportunities among stakeholders. Former KKR Chief Executive Officer and organizing committee member Mr. Sanjay Nayar aspired to make March 18-20 historic by featuring startups from various states and districts, encompassing sectors from B2B Software as a Service to pharmacy and agritech.
