Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited has entered a strategic partnership with CEA, a French public research institution, to jointly develop Physical Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions that integrate robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems. These solutions are designed to enable machines to perceive, interpret, and interact with the physical world, advancing digital transformation across industrial processes. The collaboration will focus on the design, development, and deployment of Physical AI-powered systems for real-world applications in manufacturing, logistics, and automation to enhance efficiency and resilience across sectors.
The partnership combines CEA’s expertise in scientific research and digital transformation with TCS’s domain knowledge and global scale. It will deliver concrete solutions, proofs of concept, and training programmes to enable robots to learn and execute tasks in dynamic environments. MD of TCS France, Mr. Rammohan Gourneni, noted that this collaboration reinforces the company’s commitment to industrial transformation through innovation. Director of CEA-List Institute, Mr. Alexandre Bounouh, emphasised that the partnership will optimise production chains and strengthen the competitiveness of French and European enterprises. The initiative leverages TCS Pace Port Paris, its research and innovation hub, to accelerate next-generation solution development, reinforcing TCS’s long-term focus on the AI economy in France, where it has supported major enterprises, including 18 CAC40 companies, through four delivery centres established in recent years.
