Tata Steel BSL ties up with FarEye for digital transformation process

Tata Steel BSL has partnered with software logistics firm FarEye, to facilitate its (Tata Steel BSL) digital transformation process.

The intelligent logistics platform of FarEye, a predictive logistics SaaS (software-as-a-service) platform, helps businesses, to orchestrate, track and optimise their logistics operations.

Mr. Kushal Nahata, Co-founder and CEO, FarEye, said, “Tata Steel BSL is empowered to push new levels of operational excellence and tangible ROI by combining successful logistics management with constructive exception management and real-time visibility.”

The company said that the implementation of FarEye's Tata Steel BSL platform also drives automated distribution workflows, including automatic order allocation.

Tata Steel BSL is now leveraging ePoD (Electronic Proof of Delivery), ensuring rapid customer feedback on OTIF deliveries and diminishing paper usage, and enabling them to become more efficient by achieving these new levels of logistics performance.

The steel manufacturer now forecasts the expected time of arrival with absolute accuracy, proactively handles exceptions and risks, and has received end-t end-to-end real-time visibility of overall operations.
