Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a multiyear transformation and managed services agreement with Canada Life, a leading global life and pensions insurer, to modernise its IT infrastructure services across Europe. The deal, described as a “multimillion-euro” contract, does not disclose the exact value. Under the partnership, TCS will use its AI and digital capabilities to manage Canada Life’s data centres, core infrastructure, end-user computing and software lifecycle management. The collaboration is aimed at improving operational resilience, increasing automation and enhancing the customer experience, while building a stronger technology foundation for the insurer’s long-term modernisation journey. TCS said the agreement also reinforces its position as a strategic partner for AI-led transformation in the insurance sector.
The partnership is also expected to support TCS’s expansion in the UK and Ireland, with talent growth planned across infrastructure services in the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Germany. Canada Life said the move marks the next stage of its technology modernisation journey and reflects its focus on people, innovation and long-term business transformation. TCS said the deal strengthens its track record in serving insurance, life and pensions clients across the UK and Europe, and aligns with its ambition to become the world’s largest AI-led technology services company. The agreement underscores how global insurers are increasingly turning to AI-enabled modernisation to improve efficiency, agility and service delivery across distributed operations.
