The President of India virtually launched Ayushman Bhav Campaign

On September 13, 2023, Ms. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, virtually launched the Ayushman Bhav Campaign from Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

The President noted in a speech at the event that the Ayushman Bhav Campaign's goal that "no person should be left behind and no village should be left behind" would help our nation succeed in achieving the objective of Universal Health Coverage. She continued by saying that the goal of creating a healthy India would be achieved if every individual and every family maintained their health. She also noted that a multi-ministerial strategy has been used to accomplish this objective. It was added that in order to accomplish such big goals, everyone's collaboration would be beneficial.

Ms. Droupadi Murmu praised the initiative Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, which includes providing Ayushman cards to all the beneficiaries, holding Ayushman meetings to educate villagers about health, hygiene, and nutrition, organising Ayushman Melas, and arranging once-weekly visits from specialised doctors at Community Health Centres.

The President praised India for moving forward with great enthusiasm in adopting new technology and working methods in many areas. She was pleased to learn that in September 2021, the ‘Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission’ was launched. She expressed optimism that India would lead the way in digital inclusion in other sectors as well as the healthcare industry.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Ayushman Bhav Campaign is an extensive national healthcare initiative with the goal of reaching every village and town in the nation with healthcare facilities. The 'Seva Pakhwada', which runs from September 17 to October 2, 2023, will see the implementation of this campaign.
