Speaking at the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024, he underscored the opportunity for foreign investors to participate in India’s development, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative to ‘make for the world.’ He highlighted the country’s strong foundation, built on democracy, demography, demand, and data, which supports its emergence as a global trade and manufacturing hub.

The prime minister praised Germany’s increased confidence in India’s skilled workforce, noting that the number of visas for Indian professionals will rise from 20,000 to 90,000. He pointed out that India is making record investments in infrastructure, including roads and ports, vital to the country’s expanding economic framework. He further stressed the strategic importance of the Indo-Pacific region for the world’s future, inviting foreign investors to be part of India’s economic journey.
