Tier 2, 3 cities becoming centre of economic activities: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi said that the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are becoming economic hubs, and that efforts should be made to build industry clusters in those locations. He asked the Council of Mayors and Deputy Mayors of the BJP in Gujarat to take measures to guarantee that small vendors are trained to use the digital payments system while speaking via video conferencing.
He stated that the government is working to make towns a centre of a holistic lifestyle, citing the improvement of urban infrastructure under his administration.
India is putting money into its urban infrastructure. Until 2014, the country's metro network was less than 250 kilometres long. It has now surpassed 775 kilometres. A 1,000-kilometer metro route is being built. He stated that it is our goal for our towns to become centres for a holistic lifestyle.
