The US-based provider of data analytics and cyber security software, Utiltyx, and Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL) have established a strategic alliance. The collaboration aims to improve the business' preparedness for potential threats and difficulties linked to cyber security.
By increasing Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) visibility, strengthening Tata Power-DDL's ability to combat cyber threats, and providing reliable and real-time analytics for its distribution grid, the association hopes to better prepare the power distribution infrastructure for threats and growth in the future.
There have been certain instances of cyberattacks on India's power supply systems in different pockets. This collaboration marks a significant stride towards a smarter, more resilient energy future.
Tata Power-DDL will benefit from the relationship by receiving real-time updates on various cyber-physical system vulnerabilities, and an AI/ML-based threat detection system will assist with proactive network scanning for active threat detection and threat avoidance.
According to Mr. Ganesh Srinivasn, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), with the upgradation to create utilities of the future, it is essential to create or acquire capabilities to deal with future challenges and build upon opportunities.
