To expand the cloud business, Airtel is focusing on SMEs and government initiatives

A senior executive from Bharti Airtel stated that the company is targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and government projects to grow its cloud and content delivery business. According to the Chief Executive of Enterprise Business and Business Head of Cloud at Airtel Business, Mr. Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, by launching unique cloud and Content Delivery Network (CDN) packages that meet client’s varying degrees of storage demands while utilising the telco's current connectivity backbone.
He further stated that the cloud is the fastest-growing technology which is spent among customers. Only 30% of the overall compute is on the cloud which depicts that there is still a whitespace for opportunities. The focus is to leverage infrastructure in a better way which includes centres and connectivity.
