The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal launched the Trade Intelligence and Analytics Portal, stating that it will provide importers, exporters, startups, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with deeper insights into global and domestic markets. He said the platform will support exporters in making better use of free trade agreements (FTAs) already implemented by India. Developed by the Department of Commerce, the portal consolidates multiple global and national databases with macroeconomic indicators into a single system offering more than 270 analytics. It delivers real-time and interactive intelligence on global and Indian trade, sectoral performance, commodities, export opportunities, and competitor analysis. The tool also generates automated reports and tracks emerging trends for manufacturing sectors linked to the Production Linked Incentive scheme and critical minerals.
Economic Advisor Mr. Vanlalram Sanga said the platform has been designed around stakeholder requirements and will continue to improve based on user feedback. Acting as a centralised digital hub, it brings together global databases such as the United Nations (UN) Comtrade and bilateral datasets into one integrated model for comprehensive trade analysis. It provides deep visibility into India’s bilateral trade patterns and global trade flows across more than 220 countries. The Trade Watch Tower feature offers country and commodity-level intelligence through specialised tools and visualisations that help users identify global and bilateral trends while highlighting opportunities for market diversification.
