UIDAI Unveils ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ Framework to Future-Proof Digital Identity through AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing and Advanced Encryption

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched the ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework to chart the next phase of Aadhaar’s evolution, strengthening its technological base and ensuring it remains secure, inclusive, and future-ready. The initiative seeks to upgrade the Aadhaar technology stack, which supports India’s digital economy, by integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and next-generation encryption and data security tools. These innovations will enhance the platform’s scalability and resilience against emerging cybersecurity threats while aligning with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and global privacy standards.
To drive this transformation, UIDAI has formed a high-level Expert Committee chaired by the Chairperson, UIDAI, Mr. Neelkanth Mishra, comprising leading figures from academia, technology, and administration. The committee will develop the Aadhaar Vision 2032 document, providing a roadmap for strengthening Aadhaar’s digital ecosystem. This initiative reinforces UIDAI’s commitment to technological excellence, innovation, and public trust, ensuring Aadhaar continues to be a cornerstone of India’s digital governance framework. The Vision 2032 roadmap aims not only to maintain Aadhaar’s leadership in digital identity systems but also to deepen its role as a secure and inclusive enabler of India’s digital transformation.
