Unicorn startups almost doubled in India since 2021: Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi underlined the fact that the number of unicorn companies in India has more than doubled since 2021 while emphasising technology and talent as two critical cornerstones of India's development journey. In his address to the audience, he stated that India is a young nation with a wonderful innovative spirit. He said that we are one of the world's top startup clusters.
He emphasised the government's efforts to ensure that no one is left behind, including bringing 450 million people into the banking sector, insuring 135 million uninsured people, providing sanitary facilities to 110 million families, and connecting over 60 million families to tap water. He also emphasised technology and talent as two pillars of India's development journey, highlighting the JAM trinity, which has smoothly given welfare benefits to 800 million people, and the tech platform that drove the world's largest vaccination push as examples.
