Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, highlighted India’s growing strengths as a global hub for talent, innovation and business services and emphasised opportunities to deepen economic and business ties between India and the US during his visit to the US. He held meetings with global business leaders and CEOs to discuss investment, expansion and technology collaboration. Discussions with Aon CEO Mr. Greg Case covered the company’s operations in India and opportunities for further expansion, while an interaction with Cognition’s Chief Legal and Global Affairs Officer Mr. Paul Grewal focused on leveraging artificial intelligence solutions and expanding the company’s presence in India. India’s engineering ecosystem and dynamic startup culture were highlighted as strong foundations for developing and deploying next-generation technologies.

An interaction with the leadership and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) from its Chicago, Michigan and Ohio chapters focused on opportunities arising from the expanding India-US economic partnership, including cross-border taxation, regulatory compliance, financial governance and investment readiness. At the US-India Business Council (USIBC) Roundtable in Chicago, discussions covered venture investment, commercialisation and corporate partnerships to help Indian and US startups scale across markets and strengthen innovation linkages. An interaction with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) leadership explored opportunities to expand the company’s presence and investments in India, supported by the country’s growing food processing sector, modernising agricultural value chains and large consumer base.
