The engagements covered investment opportunities across key sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, technology, artificial intelligence and insurance. Discussions with Blackstone President and COO Mr. Jonathan Gray and Chairman of Blackstone’s International Private Equity business Mr. Prakash Melwani focused on expanding the company’s investments and partnerships in India. Meetings with Neuberger Berman Chairman and CEO Mr. George Walker and senior leadership explored opportunities to deepen investment linkages and engagement in financial and wealth management services.
Discussions with The Estée Lauder Companies President and CEO Mr. Stéphane de La Faverie covered growth opportunities in India, including increased manufacturing and sourcing and the country’s expanding beauty and personal care market. Engagement with IBM Chairman and CEO Mr. Arvind Krishna focused on strengthening the company’s presence in India and expanding collaboration in artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, quantum computing and other emerging technologies. Talks with MetLife President and CEO Mr. Michel A. Khalaf and General Atlantic Chairman and CEO Mr. William E. Ford covered growth, investment and business opportunities in India. AIA Group Non-Executive Chairman Mr. Mark Tucker also discussed opportunities in insurance and financial services, including India’s vision of ‘Insurance for All by 2047’. The meetings also explored ways to deepen economic and commercial ties between India and the US.
