Union Minister for Communications and Development of Northeast Region, Mr. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, launched the artificial intelligence (AI) -powered mobile application for the upcoming India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, themed Innovate to Transform. The ninth edition of IMC will be held from October 8 to 11, 2025, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi. Present at the launch were Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani; Secretary (Telecom), Dr. Neeraj Mittal; Lt. Gen. Dr. S.P. Kochhar, Director General, COAI; Chief Executive Officer, IMC, Mr. P. Ramakrishna; and other dignitaries. He highlighted that IMC is a platform of possibilities, and the new app is designed to transform these possibilities into meaningful connections, collaborations, and outcomes, offering a seamless digital experience for every attendee.
The IMC 2025 app introduces several next-generation features, including live-streaming of sessions, AI-powered personalised recommendations through IMC Suggests, integrated scheduling, real-time networking, and exclusive opportunities for startups to engage with investors and mentors. The app also includes an AI-powered snippet tool to create shareable video highlights, a Co-Pilot chatbot for instant assistance, and interactive features such as polls, contests, and an in-app photo booth. Designed to be youth-friendly, the platform provides easy access to information and opportunities for students, startups, and professionals. IMC 2025 is set to showcase over 1,000 use cases across 5G/6G, AI, Internet of Things (IoT), quantum computing, cybersecurity, semiconductors, clean technology, and smart mobility. Co-hosted by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the event will bring together global leaders, policymakers, academia, and innovators to foster dialogue, collaboration, and digital transformation.
