The Uttar Pradesh government presented a US$ 83.5 billion (Rs. 690,242.43 crores) Budget, including new schemes worth US$ 3.95 billion (Rs. 32,721.96 crores), for the financial year 2023-24.
The share of tax revenue in revenue receipts is US$ 53.94 billion (Rs. 445,871.59 crores), including its own tax revenue of US$ 31.77 billion (Rs. 262,634 crores) and the state's share in central taxes of US$ 22.16 billion (Rs. 183,237.59 crores), Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Mr. Suresh Kumar Khanna said. He further said that the net receipts of US$ 665 million (Rs. 5,500 crores) are estimated from public accounts.
The minister also said that the revenue saving is projected at US$ 8.28 billion (Rs. 68,511.65 crores).
