UPI Acceptance Enabled for Online Bookings at At the Top, Burj Khalifa and Resorts World Sentosa

India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has been enabled for online bookings at At the Top, Burj Khalifa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, making it easier for Indian travellers to book attractions and pay through their preferred UPI applications. NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international arm of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), announced partnerships to enable online UPI payments in the UAE on July 29, 2026, and Singapore on September 9, 2026. In the UAE, the service was introduced in partnership with NEOPAY and Emaar Entertainment, making At the Top, Burj Khalifa the first attraction in the country to accept UPI for e-commerce transactions. In Singapore, the integration was implemented in collaboration with FOMO Pay, extending UPI acceptance to Resorts World Sentosa.

The facility covers online bookings for attractions at Resorts World Sentosa, including Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. The initiative builds on existing international UPI partnerships, extending the payment system beyond QR-based merchant transactions to online travel and entertainment bookings. Singapore welcomed 1.2 million Indian visitors in 2025, highlighting the relevance of convenient payment options for Indian travellers. UPI is currently accepted in 10 countries: Singapore, the UAE, France, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Greece. Uzbekistan is expected to become the 11th country following a commercial agreement announced on August 30, 2026, during the visit of the Prime Minister of India to Uzbekistan. The initiative builds on India’s efforts to expand the international reach of its digital payments infrastructure and strengthen cross-border digital connectivity.
