Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath launched Aarohini training programme for girls

The government of Mr. Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh has launched the 'Aarohini Initiative Training Programme' for the safety and security of girls in all 746 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) in the state.

The aim of the campaign is to make the daughters of the underprivileged section capable and self-reliant, as per a government release. It also aims to enable the girls to raise their voices for their rights.

The pieces of training are scheduled to commence from February 1, 2023 onwards in Lucknow and all the full-time teachers at Kasturba Gandhi Schools will be trained. Post the training, two teachers of Kasturba Gandhi School will educate girl students.

Mr. Vijay Kiran Anand, Director General of School Education, UP stated that the aim of the Aarohini programme is gender sensitization and will be implemented in three phases, and in the third phase, the campaign will be run at the community level.
