In partnership with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)-NASSCOM Centre of Excellence, the conglomerate Vedanta Group intends to use technology developed by startups, according to a joint statement released.
In order to hasten the adoption of digital technology-led innovations, Nasscom's Centre of Excellence (CoE) - Internet of Things (IoT) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) and MeitY have joined hands with Vedanta Group's corporate innovation, accelerator, and ventures programme- Vedanta Spark.
The key goal is to utilize emerging technology to find solutions that will contribute to long-term environmental, social, and economic sustainability, Ms. Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and Non-Executive Director, Vedanta Limited informed.
Through this agreement, emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR), among others, may be used across a variety of Vedanta Group business verticals. In collaboration with the Vedanta group enterprises, the Vedanta Spark initiative aims to accelerate startups by utilising transformative and sustainable technologies to produce large-scale impacts. To date, 80 entrepreneurs have been involved in more than 120 projects through the programme.
