Water vision towards 2047 will be a big contribution to Amrit Kaal, says Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi stated that the country has made huge progress in water security and the Water vision towards 2047 will be a huge contribution to Amrit Kaal. The nation is working together to build 75 Amrit Sarovars in every district and around 25,000 Amrit Sarovars have already been constructed.
While addressing the All-India State Ministers’ Conference on Water, the Prime Minister said that the efforts of states for water conservation will go a long way in achieving the goals of the country. He further said that public participation in terms of water conservation must be awakened for more impact to be created. A new chapter of Jan Bhagidari (people's participation) needs to begin with multiple stakeholders from all sections of society. In the campaigns related to water conservation, we must involve people, social organizations, and civil society as much as possible, he added. He stated that geo-mapping and geo-sensing technologies are playing a significant role in water conservation.
Mr. Narendra Modi also advised the industry and agriculture to run a water conservation campaign, together. He also manifested the ‘5P’ mantra which includes - Political Will, Public Financing, Partnerships, Public Participation and Persuasion for sustainability.
